PhD students receive training on experimental methods for rotary wing aerodynamics in the de Havilland Wind Tunnel at the University of Glasgow. They are taking part in a training programme delivered by the UK Vertical Lift Network as part of its mission to grow the skill base of vertical lift researchers in the UK. All six training sessions, covering many areas of vertical flight engineering, have been free to all participating students thanks to a UK Research Council Grant and the goodwill of the UKVLN academics that conducted the training.
