The VFS Image Galleries are intended to provide a valuable resource to all those who are interested in the vertical lift industry. The objective is to provide a comprehensive source of imagery related to vertical lift aircraft and their operation. While the vast majority of images are viewable to all, current VFS members in good standing are the only ones able to add images themselves.
Images can come from the collections of VFS members, from VFS historical archives, and from rights-cleared royalty-free sources. For example, the VFS Image Galleries frequently make use of imagery from the U.S. Department of Defense and other international governmental agencies. These images are all in the public domain. The appearance of U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) visual information does not imply or constitute DoD endorsement. The appearance of images from other governments does not imply or constitute endorsement from those agencies.
VFS cannot take any responsibility for any use of the information contained within the galleries.
Do you have images you'd like to contribute?
If you are a member in good standing of VFS, please contact us for an account. Once your account has been created, you will be able to add images, as well as organize them into albums as you wish.
Uploading of Externally Sourced Images
Users can add images to the VFS Galleries that remain in the ownership of the originating author. For these images, it is the contributor’s responsibility to ensure that proper attribution is added to the originating source and author, under the terms of any license associated with the image (e.g. Creative Commons, etc.). VFS cannot accept responsibility for incorrect or improper attribution and will remove any images that are deemed to be lacking in this respect. Images will also not be accepted if they carry any watermark or added text.
