Kossler Award 1961 was awarded to 56th Medical Platoon (Air Ambulance, Fort Bragg, N.C.) and 57th Medical Platoon (Air Ambulance, Forte Meade, Maryland) at annual Forum-17 for participation in the rescue operations in the earthquake stricken region of Southern Chile in May and June of 1960.
