The Grover E. Bell Award was presented by Robert R. Lynn, Senior Vice President for Research and Engineering at Bell Helicopter Textron, to the US Army Aviation Engineering Flight Activity for the development under unusually severe constrictions of time and equipment of many exemplary experimentation techniques, and for generating data vital to successful on-time completion of competitive tests involving the UTTAS and AAH Programs in support of the source-selection process.
