The Frederick L. Feinberg Memorial Award was presented during the Honors Night Dinner to Maj. Eugene L. Richardson, commanding officer of 112th Medical Company (Air Ambulance) Marine Army National Guard for heroic actions in February, 1974. Under most difficult and dangerous conditions, Maj. Richardson volunteered to evacuate injured mountain climbers from Mount Katahdin, Baxter State Park, ME, saving five lives. The rescue was in dead of winter. In photo, Maj. Eugene L.
