The U.S. Army Aeromedical Research Laboratory (USAARL), Ft. Rucker, Ala., has been awarded the Army's Special Award for Accomplishment as the most improved Army R&D facility in 1974. The selection was made by the Army Scientific Advisory Panel and announced by Secretary of the  Army Howard H. Callaway. On January 17th, Norman R. Augustine, assistant secretary of the Army for R&D and a director of AHS visited Ft. Rucker and presented the award to Col. Robert W. Bailey, commander of the laboratory.
