Tomasz Krysinski, Vice President of Research and Innovation at Airbus Helicopters, and this year’s VFS Chair of the Board of Directors, began by recognizing outgoing VFS Technical Director, Dr. Mahendra Bhagwat, who completed his two-year term as the Society’s technical lead on July 1. “His leadership has strengthened the technical standing of VFS and provided both strategic and tactical guidance on governing the Society,” said Krysinski. Dr. Al Brand of Bell will succeed Dr. Bhagwat as Technical Director, in which capacity he will chair the VFS Technical Council and contribute to the Executive Committee of the VFS Board of Directors. Dr. Bhagwat is now the incoming Chair of the VFF Scholarship Selection Committee.
