Grover E. Bell Award 2005 was awarded to members of Unmanned Little Bird Team, The Boeing Company, at Forum 61 awards event. The president of the Society, Dr. William “Bud” Forster, congratulated the members of the Unmanned Little Bird Team including Boeing Advanced Unmanned Systems and L-3 Comm-West. The team converted a commercial helicopter into an autonomous demonstrator capable of automatic take-offs and landings as well as autonomous waypoint navigation.
