SilentWings GmbH, based in Munich, Germany, has been flight testing its Hydrogen Fuel Cell electric VTOL drone, and displayed the demonstrator at European Rotors 2021. The 35-kg gross weight drone is expected to carry a 10-kg payload for 6 hours over a 700 km range. The tailsitter has a thruster in the tail, which pivots to a conventional tail system in cruise flight. (VFS photo Nov. 18, 2021. CC-BY-SA 4.0)
