The 10-passenger aircraft will go into scheduled passenger service June 1 with the new San Francisco & Oakland Helicopter Airlines. The S-62 is the first American turbocopter to be certified by the Federal Aviation Agency for commercial operations, and it is the first helicopter of any type to be certified under the FAA's new helicopter transport regulations which are far more stringent than previous requirements.
