The Brantley YOH-3B was evaluated by the US Army in early 1960 as a potential Army Scout/Observation Helicopter at the US Army Test and Evaluation Board located at Fort Rucker, Al. The aircraft provided excellent visibility for crew members with its unusual upper blisters and large glass nose. At the time the Army was moving to turbine engine technologies so the Brantley was not selected.
