AHS leadership meets Mil Design Bureau leadership and gets a tour of the Mil Mi-28 at the Paris Air Show in June 1989.

Space on the nose is highly prized, as it is on all helicopters. Systems seen here include the 50 mm cannon (adapted from a ground vehicle), and daylight sight, including laser. Note the warning symbol on side of sight. The windshield wiper system fro the optical sight is also seen. The two circular areas on either side are for night vision system not yet installed. The target acquisition/navigation radar is at top.
