The US Army's AIDAPS (Automatic Inspection, Diagnostic, and Prognostic System) was designed to diagnose malfunctions, warn of impending failure, and eliminate unnecessary inspections and parts removals. This UH-1H is being used in AIDAPS testing and is moored to a static tie-down facility. This method was used to qualify transmissions and gearboxes for flight.
