The Paul E. Haueter Award won by Robert L. Lichten Posthumously.  The award presented by Calvin B. Hargis Jr., deputy assistant secretary of the USAF for development. It was awarded posthumously to Robert L. Lichten, former AHS Board chairman and president for his outstanding and remarkable achievements in advanced VTOL design, and in particular his efforts on tilt-proprotor concepts. Lichten's son Thomas Lichten, accepted the award.
