C. Rande Vause is active at Ames in a combined theoretical and experimental program to assess the acoustic/performance tradeoffs of rotary-wing aircraft. Since he joined AAMRDL in 1966, he has also been involved in both wind tunnel and flight test programs, with particular emphasis on instrumentation for V/STOL research. A 1968 graduate of Brigham Young University, he earned his M.S. degree in aeronautical science at Stanford University.
