This year, Ralph Alex, president of the International Helicopter Commission of the Federation Aeronautique Internationale, awarded two FAI diplomas of record to the pilots of the Sikorsky CH-54A Flying Crane for a record established on December 30, 1968, for time to climb in a Class E-1 helicopter.
