REALISTIC FLIGHT display is seen in this pilot's view from cockpit of new flight simulator used by Sikorsky Aircraft engineers and pilots in studying vertical and short take-off and landing (V/STOL) aircraft systems in the laboratory. The simulator, situated at the United Aircraft Research Laboratories in East Hartford, Conn., enables engineers to determine the overall behavior of a V/STOL aircraft in performing any desired mission. View of horizon, ground and clouds is provided by two 21-inch TV monitors mounted in the windshield.
