Aerial bike built for two
Raleigh, N.C. - Happy twosome shown in the photo above are demonstrating the new two-seat "gyro-glider", a bicycle-like helicopter without an engine or wings.
Here Mary Ann Britton is taking flight instructions from the inventor Igor Bensen at Raleigh-Durham Airport. The craft soars when towed by a car and is controlled in the air by an overhead control stick as in full-size helicopters. The novel flying device is manufactured by Bensen Aircraft Corp. in Raleigh, N.C.
