Lee L. Douglas, a pioneer in the development of rotary-wing aircraft and former president and chairman of the board of the American Helicopter Society, has retired after 26 years with Boeing Vertol Co. Douglas, actively engaged in aeronautical engineering for 40 years, will form his own company, under his own name, to offer consulting services on technical development. He will also consult with Boeing Vertol.
