The FORUM Committee and the Society's Board of Directors felt that in commemoration of this event it might be worthwhile to exhibit aircraft built during the early stages of the Society's existence. For this reason the National Air Museum of the Smithsonian Institution was approached on the availability of some of the early aircraft in their collection. A note of thanks goes to the National Air Museum for its great cooperation in making such aircraft as the Hiller XH-44, Kaman K-225, Nagler Rolz NR-54 V-2 and Sikorsky XR-4 available to the Society. In addition to the four aircraft from the Smithsonian, it was privilege to have two additional antique helicopters presented to Smithsonian - Piasecki PV-2, and Bell Model 30. In photo, Bell Model 30 can be seen in the exhibit hall.
