
The Captain William J. Kossler Award presented to the Officers, Warrant Officers and Enlisted Crewmen of the United States Army Helicopter Units in the Republic of Vietnam for developing and proving under combat conditions new and decisive operational techniques which enabled their helicopters to become a dependable means of basic mobility for the Republic of Vietnam forces engaged in conflict.
